Welcome to Sustainable Tiverton.

Sustainable Tiverton is part of the Transition Network, which inspires and supports communities to become more sustainable in the face of climate change – building resilience, supporting bio-diversity and reducing CO2 emissions. We encourage local projects that combat global warming and environmental damage; by supporting community groups to set up, run activities and events, get publicity, and work with others nearby.

Our local councils have agreed to act on the Climate Emergency and we need to build up local action. Could you help? Please email if you are interested in any of the following activities (and making new friends) and we will connect you. We are also looking for support with simple admin and social media for several of our groups, so please let us know if you can give even a little of your time.

This year we are planning our first Tiverton Community Apple Day in the Pannier Market!
So we will have 2 events in October:

Tiverton Pannier Market               Oct 12th 10-3pm
Sampford Peverell Village Hall     Oct 26th 11-3pm

Both days will provide juicing for your own apples or community juice from unused orchards/trees. With refreshments, music and ‘apple-y’ activities.
It would be great to find more ‘unused’ apple trees in our area, if you know of any please get in touch so we can record them and arrange for picking.
And if you’d like to join in creating the juice (it’s fun!) or have a stall at the event please contact:

Do you have something that needs repairing?
A group of volunteers meet regularly to repair small items.
Free of charge, donations welcome to cover costs.
Our next repair session is on September 7th.
Contact us to make arrangements to drop off and collect your items.

Rerooted Community Fridge is now open

It’s in the library – come and have a look!

The banana pudding was yummy

I think what you do is amazing, well done to each and every one of you. A list of ingredients and how to cook the meal would be good.
